Pork Rind Leader Says “Thank You” To Truck Drivers

Rudolph Foods Celebrates 3rd Annual Truck Driver Appreciation Week With $1,500 Cash Prize

LIMA, Ohio (July 1, 2013) – Rudolph Foods, the world’s largest manufacturer of pork rinds, is celebrating National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDA) September 15-21, 2013 with a ten-week campaign that begins July 15, celebrating the spirit of the American truck driver. In the campaign, Rudolph Foods will pay tribute to truck drivers across America by asking what being a truck driver means to them. Details of the campaign can be found on and at

In an effort to celebrate this hard working segment of our country—who is responsible for transporting nearly all of the food to American consumers, from July 15-September 1, Rudolph Foods will ask truck drivers to take part in the contest by explaining in 1-2 sentences what being a truck driver means to them. Responses can be shared via Facebook or on the website On September 1, a panel of experts will choose the top 12 submissions and during the week-long celebration consumers will be asked to vote for the best answer. Voting will take place from September 15-21, 2013 on both the Rudolph Foods and Southern Recipe Facebook pages and Rudolph Foods website. The response with the most votes will win a $1,500 cash prize from Rudolph Foods.

Truck drivers are at the core of the Rudolph Foods Operation,” said Mark Singleton, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Rudolph Foods. “Hearing from truck drivers will help all of us understand and appreciate , in a greater scope, what is meaningful to them. None of the foods produced land on our plates without truckers. This is our small way of saying thank you.”

Members of the Rudolph Foods community, Facebook fans, friends and family of truck drivers and the pork rind panel are encouraged to follow along with the campaign using hashtags #ThankATruckDriver and #TruckDriverAppreciationWeek, in addition to voting for the response they feel is the best.

International Bank Equipment Manufacturer Enters The Key Control Market

Portland, OR: SafePak Corporation, the #1 provider of electronically-monitored deposit retrieval systems, deposit stations and ATM security products to the banking industry, introduces a new line of key control products, specifically targeting the auto service industry, fleet management and dealerships.

The SafePak Electronic Key Control Systems are priced from $1,995 and up, handling from 5 keys to 500 keys. The KeyStations take several forms, from simple wall-mount and counter-top varieties to free-standing kiosks that are vault-like for maximum key security.

The SafePak Electronic Key Control Systems can be seen at the several national automotive trade shows including the NADA expo in Las Vegas this coming February. Response from the recent NACE show in Orlando and SEMA show in Las Vegas prompted the company to add several more key control products to their current line to satisfy several needs of the industry that were not met by other companies. In particular, the service industry was looking for a low-cost (under $2,000) key control kiosk that would handle just a few keys.

SafePak's president, Buzz Siler, a seasoned inventor and entrepreneur, decided to pursue this market after years of creating one-off products for other industries. Throughout the last 20 years, he created the first remote access key dispenser for Cendant/Avis/Budget; a rental kiosk and lock dispenser for the self-storage industry; and specialized key dispensers for the aviation and hotel industry.

Siler commented, "We looked at all the competition's products in this key management field and saw a huge gap! We decided that, with the right investment in the latest technology, we could offer every feature that they did, but at much lower prices. Best of all, it's still made in America!".

All SafePak products can be seen at their website

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, April 21, 2008, - Simons Petroleum, Inc. (“Simons”) announced today a definitive agreement with Love’s Travel Stops (“Love’s”).  Under the agreement, Love’s national travel center locations will become the anchor chain of the successful Simons’ Pathway Network, effective May 9, 2008.

Created in 1994, Pathway Network provides trucking fleets of all sizes with unique ways to control volatile fuel costs through a variety of proprietary offerings designed for over-the-road trucking fleets.  Pathway’s 14 year relationship with its current anchor chain, TravelCenters of America or “TA”, will officially end on November 7, 2008.  Simons’ agreement with TA provides for a transition period and the addition of the Love’s locations, beginning May 9, 2008, will facilitate the transition period for all of Simons’ customers and give Pathway Customers additional options for utilizing Pathway’s programs at the Love’s locations.

Love’s Travel Stops currently operates 150 Interstate facilities with plans to grow their network of locations by 20 full facility sites per year.

“We are excited for Love’s to become Pathway’s new anchor chain.  Both the Love’s and Simons organizations share similar values and we believe Love’s growth strategy is well matched with our plans for the future.” said Brad Simons, President of Pathway Network.
